What is the CEI AI Advisor?

The CEI AI Advisor is an artificial intelligence tool that answers questions expressed in natural language (in Italian and English) regarding the contents of the standards included in the person’s subscription.

How does it work?

Insert your question in the chat and start talking with the CEI AI Advisor. The answer will be accompanied by a link to the standard that the answer is based upon. Usually, there are several links and they take the user to the specific paragraph of the standard that has been used in the answer.

At the end of each answer, the tool provides an “Open” button that opens a link to the original document of the standard.

💡 According to the CEI’s tests, the AI Advisor has an accuracy superior to 90%, so, even though the answers can be used as a guide when working, they must always be verified by comparing them with the original sources.

FAQ

The subscription can be for a single Technical Committee, or a group of TCs. Moreover, only a person or company that is already subscribed to TCs can get an AI Advisor subscription to those same TCs. Contact our Subscription Office to receive a free price estimate: abbonamenti@ceinorme.it

You can access to the service through the CEI platform by using the same credentials used for the subscription to the TCs on MyNorma.

Access your MyNorma account and enter on your personal dashboard. Then click on “AI Advisor”.

enter the AI chat and ask a question

you will receive an answer and a link to the standard containing the source of the answer.

when clicking “open”, you will be taken to the original document containing the standard

⚡Identification of the key paragraphs of the standard that answer the question.

⚡Information, recommendations, requirements, etc regarding a project.

⚡Translated information to Italian if the original content of the standard is in English.

Currently there are 12 TCs available and more will be added in the coming months:

  • CT 14 – Power transformers
  • CT 31 – Equipment for explosive atmospheres
  • CT 44 – Safety of machinery – Electrotechnical aspects
  • CT 64 – Electrical installations and protection against electric shock
  • CT 76 – Optical radiation safety and laser equipment
  • CT 78 – Live working
  • CT 81 – Lightning protection
  • CT 82 – Solar photovoltaic energy systems
  • CT 99 – Insulation co-ordination and system engineering of high voltage electrical power installations above 1,0 kV AC and 1,5 kV DC
  • CT 108 – Safety of electronic equipment within the field of audio/video, information technology and communication technology
  • CT 121 – Switchgear and controlgear and their assemblies for low voltage
  • CT 316 – Connessione alle reti elettriche di distribuzione Alta, Media e Bassa Tensione

The price is established based on the following:

  • The price of the basic subscription to the relevant TC
  • The number of licences requested
  • The number of questions that can be asked each month

Subscriptions start at a yearly price of 80€ + VAT 22%.

  • The questions must relate to the preselected TCs and not surpass the maximum monthly amount.
  • The question count resets every month, meaning that unused questions cannot be accumulated from month to month.
  • The AI stores the chat history, meaning that if two different people access the AI Assistant from the same account their chat history will be merged.
  • An account can be used by one person at a time.
  • If a second license exists within the same company, its users will not see the archive of the first license.
  • The given credentials can only be used by the employees of the entity that has paid for the subscription and cannot be shared with third parties.
  • The answers given by the service can only be used within the entity that has paid for the subscription and under no circumstance can be shared with third parties external to the entity. This means that it is forbidden to act as an intermediary for another entity that requests an answer from the AI Advisor.
