CEI Advanced Training | Design of Electrical System

In any technical field — and particularly in the electrical sector — the design and construction of a machine, device, or system requires, first and foremost, a solid understanding of the laws and general principles of physics and electrical engineering, along with the technical rules of construction and strict compliance with regulations. The latter is essential to achieving what is known as the “state of the art.”

To support professionals in the field, CEI is organizing an advanced training course dedicated to the “Design of Electrical Systems.”
The course will provide a solid foundation in scientific, technical, and regulatory principles, as well as the essential tools needed to work according to the state of the art in today’s market.

The first part of the course will be dedicated to presenting the general laws of electric al engineering and to solving problems related to electrical circuits.

The second part will focus on developing the knowledge necessary for the design and implementation of electrical systems, with reference to the CEI 64-8 standard.

Participation in the entire course will allow the acquisition of 120 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for Engineers (Course category) and 83 CPD credits for Industrial Experts, following a final assessment.

Specialized topics related to design in the Photovoltaic sector, E-Mobility, and Fire Prevention Design will be developed and explored in depth.
Each participant will have access to a discounted rate for a course listed in the CEI Catalog in 2026.

HYBRID: In-person* at CEI headquarters, Via Saccardo 9, Milan, and live streaming via Microsoft Teams.
*The in-person option will only be confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of participants choosing this mode.

Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (8 hours)
Saturday – from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (4 hours)

Regarding the first and last two days of the course:

  • Attendance in person on September 19th and 20th is strongly recommended. This mode will provide the opportunity to meet the instructors and offer valuable networking opportunities for participants.
  • In-person attendance on November 28th and 29th is mandatory in order to carry out a practical exercise applying the theoretical knowledge acquired and to complete the final learning test.

All sections will be complemented by practical examples and exercises.

As an authorized provider, CEI will submit the request for training credits to CNI and CNPI.

The number of training credits assigned to the course will be determined directly by the aforementioned professional boards, and the credits will be awarded upon successful completion of the final course test.

All sections will be complemented by practical examples and exercises to facilitate the best possible understanding of the topics covered in the lessons.

Each course participant will receive the following documentation produced by CEI as personal materials:

  • CEI publication on the topics covered in the course.
  • CEI Standard 64-8 Single Volume (valued at €170.00) in either printed copy or PDF format

The CEI Standards and Volumes are protected and can be installed on a maximum of two workstations.
To view and print, you need to install the FILE OPEN plugin if it has not already been installed: http://plugin.fileopen.com/new/all.aspx (Acrobat versions 9, 11, or DC are recommended).

At the end of the course (with attendance exceeding 75% of the course duration), a CEI certificate of participation will be issued.

Two different participation fees are available, depending on the confirmation date:

  • Early registration: €2,300.00 + 22% VAT by July 31, 2025 (total: €2,806)
